My story is live! Book Trailer: https://youtu.be/VP3IPwSXpF0
I was terrified to release In the Pursuit of Charity because it is my story. Of course, some of the specifics have been changed but, at the end of the day, this was me. I didn’t know how readers were react to a story about an athlete great looking guy pursuing an overweight girl. There is a stigma with being a large woman in our society. There is also an unwritten (although, it may be written somewhere) rule that men can’t be attracted to big women. Thankfully, that is not true. (ISH)
It has been amazing to read the reviews for this novella. My favorites have been the ones that say how nice it is to read a story about a main character that looks like them. That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of stories with plus-size characters but not many that have a large woman that doesn’t fall for the guy at a simple glance. I’m including a small portion of a review to the bottom of this post.
In other news, I’ve been invited to Shameless as an ‘Author-on-the-Rise’. Shameless is an invitation only author event in Orlando, Florida. This event started last year but, unlike other new author events, Shameless sold out every scheduled portion of their event. The meet and greet reception gave 200 VIP attendees the opportunity to mingle with the ‘who’s who’ in the book world. The organizers decided to add a showcase of up-and-coming to highly new talent. I’m on that short list!!!!!
As if that’s not enough, I walked into Michigan’s largest independently owned bookstore, Schuler’s, to find my books on an end-cap display. I took pictures and bought each of my books. As a big cherry on top of my week, I’ll be a panelist of local authors speaking (and signing) about my new release at said bookstore on the 18th of July. WAIT … WHAT?!?! I’m nervous and excited. I’ll be fangirling the entire time as one of my favorite authors, international bestseller Elizabeth Heiter, will be on the panel with me. So, if you’re in Spartan country on Tuesday, pop in to Schuler’s – Eastwood.
My summer and fall are fairly packed with author signing events but I managed to slip in a few days at the lake with my family. I’m already focused on a new cast of characters in my next release, Complex Deflection. This will give readers a glimpse into the life of one of my favorite secondary characters from Before Him Comes Me. My goal is to release in November. We shall see how that goes. Wish me luck!
That’s all for now. I’m at my weekend hangout, Starbucks, so I better get back to writing. More soon.

In the Pursuit of Charity by Alexandria Sure
In the Pursuit of Charity: A New Adult College Romance by Alexandria Sure is the first book I have read by this author. I hope it will not be my last because I hope to hear more about the characters introduced in this book. This book really left me with “feels” . This book is about people’s perceptions and how true love can Overcome most situations. This was a fast read, but had some hard to deal with topics. I love the way the author brought the characters and their problems to life. I felt I was right there with them fighting for true love. This book had me feeling every emotion, I was laughing, crying, and at some points I was really pissed off.
